Prabhas cannot continue in this manner. Prabhas became Pan India Star from Rebel Star following his power-packed performance in Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali. People across the country were spellbound by his terrific performance in the role of Baahubali and filmmakers from across the country started competing to do films with him.
Even international critics and celebrities showered praises on Baahubali. But his journey after Baahubali turned out to be a freefall and many feel that he cannot continue in this manner and he needs quick introspection. After Baahubali, Prabhas did action entertainer Saaho. The film turned out to be a disaster in Tollywood and down south as it lacked the emotional connection but his newfound stardom in the North turned the film into a hit in Bollywood.
Prabhas tested his luck with a romantic entertainer Radhe Shyam and the film ended up testing the patience of all. The film turned out to be a disaster. Prabhas did both these projects as he gave word to the directors Sujeeth and Radha Krishna Kumar before Baahubali and kept his word and after Baahubali, the makers increased the span of the projects which boomeranged on them.
Prabhas then came with a spiritual entertainer Adipurush based on the Hindu epic Ramayan. When Om Raut of Tanhaji fame decided to do film on Ramayan, everyone got excited, and the prospect of seeing Prabhas as Lord Ram thrilled all. The film hit the screens and it is facing severe backlash from all quarters. Om Raut is facing the wrath of all for tampering with the scriptures and insulting the emotions and sentiments of the Hindus.
Prabhas however holds the record of having three films crossing Rs 100crs on the first day and they included Baahubali, Saaho, and Adipurush. However, Prabhas cannot continue in this manner forever the bubble will be busted and collections cannot cover his flops. Prabhas is currently busy with films like Salaar, Raja Deluxe, Project K, and Spirit. Unless Prabhas pays attention to the strong story, script, and screenplay, he cannot cover failures with collections.
