Suriya Scene Surpasses Ramayana in Bookings

Suriya’s upcoming film Scene has surprised trade circles with its opening response at the ticket counters. According to early booking reports, the film sold nearly 7,000 tickets within just one hour of bookings opening, comfortably crossing Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana, which reportedly sold around 3,000 tickets during the same period.
The advance bookings for Scene opened on Tuesday night, November 3, with several theatres offering 6 AM shows following Tamil Nadu’s new screening rules. The initial response has been encouraging, especially from Suriya’s fans, who are showing interest in catching the film on its first day.
However, the comparison needs some context, as Ramayana has already been available for advance booking for more than a week. The film has also attracted considerable attention because of its huge budget, star cast and grand scale. Its ticket sales could pick up further as the release date approaches.
Despite the strong opening in advance bookings, Scene could face some challenges because of screen availability in certain areas. The actual opening day collections will depend on the number of theatres, occupancy and audience response. Both films have generated attention, but their box office performance will become clearer after release.
