Speculation on Khans replacement

For more than three decades Khans trio, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan ruled the Bollywood and Indian film industry without any opposition and competition.

The Khan trio overcame the competition that arose with changes in the tastes of the people, multiplexes and the OTT revolution, but many feel that the pan-India challenges changed it completely. Many feel that Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and others are challenging the Khan trio.

Ranveer with Dhurandhar and Ranbir with Animal unlocked the tough South market, which looked impossible even for the Khans. Ranbir with Rock Star, Sanju and Animal proved himself as a mass hero. Unlike Shah Rukh Khana nd Salman Khan, he is experimenting with his films. After Animal, now he is targeting the world market with the epic Ramayana. He can achieve the impossible only if the film gets unanimous positive talk.

Though Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman have international craze, it is surprising they have not tried an epic and mythological film till now targeting the international market, and it will be a plus point for Ranbir Kapoor. They are collaborating with international studios and production houses.

But this alone cannot dethrone the Khan trio. It all depends on how an Indian star reaches the global arena. Ranbir and Ranveer are trying differently and it has to be seen how successful in their attempts.
