Eega - Confidence or Over Confidence?

Rajamouli’s sensational project ‘Eega’ is all going for a grand release on May 30. With no star artists attached yet the flick is outshining other star hero flicks hitting the screens around same time. Trade sources report of Rajamouli stood successful in offering enough confidence among distributors especially in overseas market where huge sums are paid in acquiring the rights. 

‘Situation with ‘Eega’ is different from other releases. Market runs only based on the name and fame of celebrities attached to a particular project. Nani, Samanta and Sudeep are not really big names to pull big openings. However, Rajamouli alone sells in this case. Even then, we are ready to pay huge sums relying on his name. But, unfortunately distributor here is not selling the film outright. He wanted to exhibit ‘Eega’ on his own risk in many centers,’ said one of the exhibitors from the US of America on promise of anonymity. Well, many are wondered seeing this (over) confidence of ‘Eega.’
