Alleging that Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar is behaving like a dictator and suppressing the voice of the Opposition, Telugu Desam legislators led by Revanth Reddy threatened to boycott the assembly on Wednesday.
With the assembly sessions in full swing, the Tdp legislators objecting to the manner in which the Deputy Speaker was conducting the proceedings in the House on Wednesday, they staged a sit-in protest in front of the speaker’s podium and raised slogans against Nadendla Manohar.
Of late it ha s become customary for the Tdp to level charges against either the speaker or deputy speaker. A few weeks ago it was Tdp leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy who accused Nadendla Manohar for behaving like a representative of the Andhra region rather than the whole of Andhra Pradesh. However on that occasion, the deputy speaker extracted an apology from Nagam.
