Maa Controversy Still Simmering

One witnessed bitter campaigning along with allegations and counter allegations between Shivaji Raja panel and Sr Naresh panel in the runup to the elections to MAA (Movie Artists Association).

Shivaji Raja and Naresh shared good bonhomie and relation and they even worked in the same panel in the last term. However things reached point of no return, with both making allegations over funds misuse in the panel while conducting events and raising funds.

After Sr Naresh panel won the elections and when Naresh hogged and claimed that Shivaji Raja was like his brother to assuage the feelings of Shivaji Raja who broke down in tears and claimed that he was forced to run for the second term, everyone thought that the animosity between them ended.

But in the midst of all this , Shivaji Raja made a stunning statement even as Naresh panel decided to take oath on March 22nd. Shivaji Raja said, "We have time till March 31st and we will go to court." He said old members are refusing to sign on the pending cheques.

Naresh took strong objection to Shivaji Raja's behavior saying he is not running after power. He accused Shivaji Raja panel members of kidnapping MAA members ahead of the elections. He said his panel after emerging winners can take oath at any time and added that he will take a decision consulting other biggies in the industry.
