Premane Oorilo Review

Premane Oorilo (2026) Movie: What's Behind
Sandalwood film Premada Oorelli, which turned out to be a successful outing in Kannada, is releasing in Telugu as Premane Oorilo. Let us see whether the film manages to connect with Telugu audiences.
Premane Oorilo (2026) Movie: Story Review
Premane Oorilo revolves around relationships, love and the impact of people's mindsets and preconceived notions.
Santhu aka Santosh (Shree Raam) has been focused on helping his father Naganna (Rangayana Raghu) with agriculture since childhood. Naganna has his own dreams about his son's marriage. The entry of village tomboy Vasantha (Ramika Shivu) and foreign-returned Rukmini (Thapaswini Poonacha) changes the situation.
How Santosh handles the situation and where his relationships eventually lead form the crux of the story.
Premane Oorilo (2026) Movie: Artists Review
Shree Raam is decent in his role and makes an impact in a few emotional scenes in the second half. Ramika Shivu is good as the tomboyish Vasantha and handles the emotional portions well. Her traditional look also brings a different shade to the character.
Thapaswini Poonacha is fine as the foreign-returned girl and delivers a passable performance. Rangayana Raghu once again proves his experience and elevates several scenes with his performance. The actor playing the grandmother also does well, while the rest of the cast perform adequately.
Premane Oorilo (2026) Movie: Technical Review
Director Manoj Kumar comes up with a familiar triangular love story set against a village backdrop. The first half focuses on character introductions, village life, one-sided love and comedy before building towards the interval twist. However, the proceedings take time to reach the point.
The second half shifts towards marriage, life after marriage, emotions and a flashback. Though some emotional sequences work, the narration becomes stretched in places. The flashback follows a somewhat old-school treatment, but it is handled reasonably well. The climax delivers the expected emotional impact.
The songs composed by Sunaad Gowtham are soothing and melodious. The background score also adds value to the emotional scenes. Rajkanth SK's cinematography is one of the film's better aspects, beautifully capturing the village setting.
Editing by Harshith Prabhu could have been tighter, as some scenes slow down the proceedings. The Telugu dubbing also suffers from lip-sync issues in places. Production values are decent and the dialogues work in a few scenes.

Premane Oorilo (2026) Movie: Rating Analysis
Overall, Premane Oorilo is a familiar emotional love story that works in parts. The predictable storyline and slow narration prevent it from becoming a compelling romantic drama, but the performances, village backdrop, music and a few emotional sequences give the film some engaging moments. The second half has better emotional impact despite the stretched treatment.
