Nagarjuna in a period drama? seems so according to sources. Nagarjuna after the shock he got in form of the spy thriller The Ghost, remained silent for quite some time. In between reports came that Nagarjuna who was supposed to team with Mohan Raja who directed Chiranjeevi's Godfather dropped his plans after seeing the result of Godfather and planned to team with writer Bezawada Prasanna Kumar.

Now reports are coming about Nagarjuna and Prasanna Kumar Bezawada's project genre. Inside talk is the film is a period entertainer. The film also stars Allari Naresh in an important role. A source shares “The film is set in the 70s and 80s. What hooked Nagarjuna was the layered character. The script and screenplay were also well-written. He okayed the script in the first narration,”

The source added that when Nagarjuna asked Prasanna Kumar Bezawada to direct, “He was shocked! But since Nag has this great history of introducing directors and making them successful, Prasanna was pretty kicked by the suggestion,”
