Superstar Mahesh Babu and super hit director Anil Ravipudi’s first combo film Sarileru Neekavvaru was a super hit. But, he film that was expected to become a Sankranthi winner stood next to stylish star Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramloo which is ending as non-Baahubali industry hit.
Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi had big plans for their next, before the release of Sarileru Neekavvaru. But, they seem to be in lots of confusion now. While Mahesh Babu cancelled his film with Vamsi Paidipally as he didn’t like the final script, Anil Ravipudi dreamed of directing megastar Chiranjeevi in his next.
Recently, there were speculations that, Mahesh Babu accepted to play a brief role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya under the direction of Koratala Siva. Of course, Mahesh Babu was approached for the role. But, he is yet to make his decision. He is in confusion whether to do the film or not. He also lined up a film with Parasuram. But, owing to some reasons, this won’t go on floors immediately.
Mahesh Babu may announce his next project probably in a couple of weeks. He is also said to be listening to scripts of other directors.
On the other hand, Anil Ravipudi is not in a position to approach Chiru now as he was slammed for his poor writing of Sarileru Neekevvaru. The director’s main forte which is comedy has become the biggest drawback of the film.
He can’t even start F3 immediately as Venkatesh and Varun Tej are busy with their respective projects and he is yet to lock the third star to feature in the film.
Anil Ravipudi is looking for other options in the meantime. But, he is dilemma whether to go for a medium range hero or wait for a star hero to give nod for his next.
Let’s hope, the confusion of Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi ends soon!
