List of Industry Hits of ANR

Padma Vibhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner, Dr.Akkineni Nageswara Rao acted 256 films and they include many blockbuster, super hits and hits. Moreover, they also include seven industry hits. The details of those industry hits are as follows.

* BALARAJU: This movie was released in 1948. S.Varalakshmi has done opposite to Anr in this fantasy entertainer. Ghantasala Balaramaiah directed and produced the movie.

* KEELUGURRAM: This Anr and Anjali starrer movie was released in 1949. The movie had great songs like 'Kaadu suma kala kaadu suma'. Raja of Mirzapur directed and produced this movie.

* DEVADASU: This trendsetting film was a landmark in Anr's career. The film was released in 1953. Savitri paired up with Anr in this tragic film. Vedantam Raghavayya was the director.

* ROJULU MARAYI: This movie was released in 1955. Savitri was seen opposite to Anr in this film. 'Yeruvaka sakaroy' song was very much popular in this film. Tapi Chanakya directed the film. Master Venu was the music director.

* MAYABAZAR: Many film critics feel that this is an all time best movie of tollywood. This NTR and Anr's multi-starrer was released in 1957. Savitri teamed up with Anr. All songs in this movie have got great success and stand for ages. Music was scored by Ghantasala while the film was directed by KV Reddy.  The movie collected a share of Rs. 75 lakhs.

* DASARABULLODU: This movie was released in 1971. Vanisri and Chandrakala romanced Anr in this film. Anr's dancing 'steps' were the highlights of the movie.The movie collected an all time record share of Rs.1.5 crores. VB Rajendra Prasad directed this movie. KV Mahadevan composed the tunes.

* PREMABHISHEKAM: The movie was released in 1981. Apart from collecting an all time record share of Rs.3.5 crores, the movie created many marathon run records. In Hyderabad alone,the movie ran for 533 days. Sridevi and Jayasudha were seen opposite to Anr in the film. The movie was directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. Chakravarthy was the music director.
