Shivaraj Kumar on Jailer cameo. Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar's cameo appearance in Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' left a lasting impact. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film not only garnered over Rs 650 crore worldwide but also received glowing reviews. Shivaraj Kumar's role as the gangster Narasimha caught the attention of fans, sparking requests for a spin-off centered on Narasimha's life.
In a recent interview, Shivaraj Kumar reflected on the significance of his cameo role, drawing comparisons to Suriya's Rolex in 'Vikram'. He described it as a "life-changing" experience. In 'Jailer,' Shiva Rajkumar shared the screen with Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff, who also played cameo roles, and their appearances were met with appreciation, hoots, and cheers from fans.
While promoting his upcoming film, 'Ghost,' Shivaraj Kumar shared his feelings about portraying Narasimha in Rajinikanth's 'Jailer.' He remarked, "I went to Chennai for an interview, and from the moment I landed at the airport, people recognized me as Narasimha. I never imagined that a brief 10-minute role could have such a profound impact on someone's life. It has been truly life-changing for me, and I'm grateful for the recognition and love I've received. I feel like I'm re-entering the world with a fresh perspective. It's an entirely new experience for me. I've played the lead in films with around 80 scenes, but this eight-minute role has led to comparisons with Vikram's Rolex. It's quite surprising, and I'm still coming to terms with it."
He went on to share, "Some people might assume I'm merely acting, but I promise you, I'm not. Even my wife was puzzled by the sudden attention. You won't believe the reception I've received in Chennai, Hyderabad, the US, and Dubai. People approach me, calling me 'Jailer.' I went to a hotel, and there were nearly 400 Tamilians there, and every one of them wanted a selfie with me. The hotel management even asked if I was bothered by the fans. I assured them that I was enjoying every moment and asked them not to interfere. I'm savoring this newfound joy."
