As the Telangana movement has the backing of Maoists, the Trs leaders too slammed the encounters. Trs  senior leader Harish Rao asked the Government to order a CBI probe into the incident.

The deaths of the top Maoist leaders, Shakamuri Appa Rao and Solipeta Kondal Reddy have sent shock waves across the Maoist cadre all over India.

The police claim that Appa Rao was killed in an encounter near Netikonda village in Pullalachervu mandal while Kondal Reddy  was shot  dead in an encounter in Tadwai  mandal   of Warangal  district on Friday.

According to   sources  Shakamuri Appa Rao, a top Maoist leader  was  picked up  in Tirupati   along  with his  three gunmen. Later he was shot dead by the police from a close in range in the Nallamalia forests.  The police  kept a vigil on Kondal Reddy who was  supposed to have  a meeting with Shakamuri Appa Rao and  nabbed him in Mharashtra. Kondal Reddy  was brought  to Warangal  and was shot  dead.

As soon as these incidents  took place, Director General of Police Girish  Kumar reached  the Assembly  and informed  Home  Minister  Sabita Indra  Reddy  and Chief  Minister  K Rosaiah about the  deaths of  top Maoist leaders.

The Union Home Ministry in Delhi was in a jubilant mood after hearing the news. They said that just like Andhra Pradesh, the Maoists would be wiped out of Jharkhand  and  West Bengal.
