Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Monday announced that he would take legal action against the newspaper that published a report against him based on a letter allegedly written by Union Minister V Kishore Chandra Deo.

Talking to reporters after participating in the birth anniversary celebrations of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa expressed shock over a report published in an English daily with strong comments against him. The report claimed that the Union Minister in his letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, the Union Minister has reportedly leveled charges of corruption against Botsa. He also described the PCC chief as "don of the liquor mafia, the land mafia and the mining mafia".

However, Botsa claimed that the union minister did not make those remarks. He said that he would be sending a legal notice to the newspaper management for publishing a false report. However, he maintained that a defamation suit could be filed if such baseless allegations are leveled.
