Can Kamal escape from C-Trend?

The new trend of Controversies is doing enough of good and bad for film industry. Instead of looking for creative elements and entertainment mode, critics and social activists are analysing the movie subjects from different view points inferring deviating bottom-lines  After 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu, Denikaina Ready and Tupaki' facing the heat in market, Kamal Hasan's statement on 'Vishwaroopam' will generate new doubts for many.

'My film is not for light hearted. 'Vishwaroopam' deals with terrorism and requires a level of intelligence and maturity to understand and appreciate the concept. This may not suit for everyone's taste because a bit of knowledge on world affairs is the minimum one needs to digest this flick,' Kamal Hasan clarifiied. If audience fail to figure out the theme of Kamal, obviously 'Vishwaroopam' would be a failure and no harm because there will be no controversies. But, what could be the scenario if Kamal touches soft religious elements which are obviously a part of terrorism?
