Naidu asks leaders to rejoin TDP

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday called upon those leaders, who deserted the party, to rejoin the TDP to bring back its past glory.

Talking to media persons while participating in the two days by-election campaign in North Andhra districts, Naidu exhorted the leaders to join the party to protect the self-respect of Telugu people and to bring back the past glory of party. Alleging that the Congress government has totally failed on all-fronts, he said that the cooperation of leaders was important to protect the State from rampant corruption and scams of the Congress and YSR Congress leaders.

Naidu appealed to the party cadre to work sincerely to ensure the victory of party candidates in the by-elections.

If the TDP comes to power in the 2014 elections, Naidu announced that his government would give old age pension of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 as allowance to the unemployed youth in the State. He assured the farmers that his government would supply nine hours of power to irrigation pumpsets against seven hours supply being given by the Congress party.

Earlier, Naidu garlanded the statue of constitutional architect Dr B R Ambedkar to mark his 122nd birth anniversary and recalled his services for the upliftment of dalits and backward communities.
