Telugu Desam Party MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu on Friday challenged Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for a public debate on Telangana or agree for collective suicide by hanging in public.
Talking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Motkupalli Nasarimhulu said that KCR should join him at the Martyrs memorial at Gun Park for an open debate or to end life for the cause of Telangana state. Accusing the TRS president of being lazy and indifferent to Telangana cause, he said that KCR remained idle for six months while leaving the Dalit students and youth to their fate in the remaining period of the year.
Narasimhulu said that the TRS leader was scared of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and have mortgaged the interest of Telangana to the Congress High Command for his personal political gains. He asked KCR to apologies for cheating people in the name of statehood agitation. He alleged that KCR has benefited through award of tenders for the multi-purpose Polavaram irrigation project to his benamis.
Describing KCR as `Traitor of Telangana’, he alleged that KCR had 'mortgaged' the interests of region by diluting employees general strike agitation. He also held KCR responsible for the pathetic condition of farmers and withering of crops due to frequent power cuts caused due to agitation.
