The Ysr Congress Party will organise 'Rythu Sadassu' (farmers conventions) across the State on December 23 on the occasion of National Farmers' Day.
The decision was taken during the Central Governing Committee meeting held at party president and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy's residence Lotus Pond here on Saturday. Briefing the media person about the CGC's decisions, party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said that the Rythu Sadassu would be an eye opener for the State Government which has ignored the welfare of farmers.
Ambati said that the Ysr Congress Party would also organise massive protest at all districts headquarters on January 4 demanding that the State Government clear all the arrears under the fee reimbursement scheme for students. Jagan Mohan Reddy will participate in the protest at Ongole.
The CGC has also decided to participate in the next local bodies elections. Ambati said that the Ysr Congress Party was ready to face the local bodies’ elections, which he said should be held without further delay.
