Jagan reacts on YSRCP defeat.In a candid media address following the YSR Congress Party's (YSRCP) significant defeat in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections, party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his thoughts on the outcome. The results, which caught the party off guard, prompted Jagan to reflect on the extensive welfare measures and reforms his government had implemented.

Addressing the public, Jagan highlighted the array of initiatives benefiting over 53 lakh women through welfare programs,  26 lakh elderly and disabled individuals, and the support extended to farmers, auto drivers, and fishermen. He emphasized the transformational changes in education and the commitment to alleviating the poor's hardships, comparing the party's manifesto to sacred texts in terms of its guiding principles.

Expressing bewilderment at the voting outcome, Jagan shared his sentiment on the disconnect between the government's efforts and the election results, questioning the unforeseen shift in public sentiment. Despite the setback, he maintained a respectful stance toward the democratic process, acknowledging the verdict of the people and extending congratulations to rivals Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.
