Mohanlal, Venky missed - AD Cashed

Finally, Bollywood is breathing easy as Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 2 is doing extremely well at the box office. Though the film is a remake of the Malayalam film Drishyam 2 starring Mohan Lal, Bollywood movie lovers are liking the remake and are thronging the theatres and enjoying the suspense thriller on the big screen.

The film collected Rs 64.14 crs in three days and after Friday, Saturday and Sunday witnessed a surge in collections much to the delight of the makers. The remake is directed by Abhishek Pathak and starred Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta in important roles.

Seeing this, many feel that Mohan Lal and Venkatesh missed the Drishyam 2 storm at the box office as both of them opted for direct OTT streaming skipping the theatrical release. However one should understand that during that time, covid was at the peak and so they decided not to take the risk.
