The real problem in Peddi
The real problem in Peddi. Even after the months of Peddi release, many are talking about Janhvi Kapoor's controversial exposing scenes. While some are supporting the filmmakers, others are supporting Janhvi Kapoor. However what not many are realising is exposing is not the real problem in Peddi.
In many films heroines exposed and they will continue to do so in future also in the films. But problems in Peddi rose as many expected the female lead to be strong in Ram Charan and Buchi Babu Sana's Peddi as Buchi is the protege of Sukumar.
Though the female lead donot have screen presence, all eyes are on how they portrayed the heroine's character. But more than the glamor treat, the characterisation turned out to be cheap. Hero forcibly kissing the female lead and then portraying it as the true love. How can anyone portray true love without the consent of the female lead.
The director should have thought about all these things. Even in The Paradise, Kayadu Lohar's character is not presented in a powerful manner. Even in Bollywood there are many instances where they are shown indulging in glamor treat. Even in Devara, Janhvi's role is not presented in a proper way. But these didnot trigger much discussion but Peddi landed in controversy as the story revolved around Janhvi's character.
Stalking , forcible kissing's and atrocities in women shown in films should be questioned strongly irrespective of te industry. If Peddi has such scenes one should question but it should not be a one off incident and target of one film.
