Aththayya Kicked with Police Role

Two roles, one of mother to Prabhas in ‘Mirchi’ and the second of aunt (Aththayya) to Pawan Kalyan in ‘Aththarintiki Daaredi’ took senior artist Nadiya’s career graph to a new high. Never did Nadiya enjoyed such craze and importance as an artist including her days as a heroine in the past. While there is plenty of news on Nadiya hiked the remuneration after these two films, here comes one more role as a surprise into her kitty.

Nadiya is going to play the character of a cop in Telugu remake of Malayalam hit ‘Drishyam.’ Directed by Sri Priya, the film is produced by Suresh Babu with Venkatesh reprising that of Mohan Lal and Meena in leads. ‘Though I don’t have any action sequences, my character is a mix of an emotional mother and a stubborn woman. I’ve seen the Malayalam version and liked the character very much. I am looking forward to it,’ Nadia said.
