Junaid Khan Maharaj To Stream On Netflix From June 14

It's been four years since Junaid Khan started preparing for his acting career. He announced his first film in YRF titled Maharaj. The film is an intense court room drama based on true incidents. The film was wrapped up filming last October. But, the film was made for OTT. The movie, also starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, and Sharvari, will premiere on Netflix on June 14. 

The trailer will get released on June 5. Junaid has completed shooting his second film also with director Siddharth and co-star Sai Pallavi and is now set to start filming his third movie, a remake of the Tamil romantic comedy Love Today (2022), with Khushi Kapoor.

Maharaj, is said to be inspired by the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case. It revolves around a religious leader who sued a newspaper for alleging inappropriate relationships with his female followers. Junaid reportedly portrays a journalist in the movie.

Aamir Khan is producing Junaid’s second film, which is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. Recently, BTS pictures went viral online, showing Sai Pallavi and Junaid shooting together against the scenic backdrop of Japan’s Sapporo Snow Festival. Junaid is Aamir Khan’s eldest son with his first wife, Reena Dutta. The actor also has a daughter with Reena named Ira Khan. Aamir Khan also has a son named Azad with his second wife, Kiran Rao.
