Hero, Director Upendra known for making unique films with unconventional themes is back to direction after a brief hiatus. He is coming with UI which has created enough stirr with its heavy VFX and interestingly crafted teaser. As UI is inching closer to release. The film team released the promo of the first single, “Cheap” song on Wednesday, 14 February.
Upendra described the song as the costliest “cheap song” in the history of the film industry. The unusual double meaning sounded lyrics of the song stirred a lot of buzz. Upendra himself penned the lyrics of the “Cheap” song. The music is composed by Kantara fame Ajaneesh Lokanath. Vijay Prakash, Nakash Aziz, and Deepak Blue rendered their voices. The full song will be released on 26 February.
Makers are planning to release the film in eight Indian languages. As per trade reports, popular Tollywood producer Allu Aravind overseeing the distribution of the Telugu version in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The film is reportedly being made with Rs 100 cores budget. Nidhi Subbaiah, Sunny Leone, Murali Sharma, Indrajith Lankesh and Murali Krishna are playing other key roles in the film.
Upendra recently wrapped up the dubbing work for UI. The teaser of the film garnered a staggering 23 million views within hours of its release. Directed by Upendra and featuring the actor in the lead role, UI is produced by G Manoharan and Sreekanth KP under the banners of Lahari Films and Venus Entertainers.
