Bandla Ganesh Fined 95 Lakhs And One Year Imprisonment In A Cheque Bounce Case

Telugu character artiste-turned-producer Bandla Ganesh whom often finds himself entangled in one controversy or another with his comments and actions has once again finds himself in a legal issue after the district court in Ongole sentenced him to one year in jail in connection with a cheque bounce case. 

The judgement came after petitioner Jetty Venkateswarlu approached the court alleging that Bandla Ganesh’s cheque amounting to Rs 95 lakh given to him was bounced. The case was heard by the Additional District Judge, with Bandla Ganesh himself present during the proceedings.

Following deliberations, the judge ruled in favour of Venkateswarlu and further ordered Bandla Ganesh to serve a one-year prison term. The court also directed the actor-producer to repay the ₹95 lakh within 30 days. The court provided one month for Bandla Ganesh to appeal in higher court.  

Bandla Ganesh faced a similar kind of case at Proddatur also. In fact, he has numerous such cases. He produced films like Teen Maar, Gabbar Singh, Baadshah, Temper and Govindudu Andarivadele with top stars of Tollywood. But, he was surrounded with several controversies and this made him Tollywood distanced him. He has not produced a film in the past ten years.
