Corona Cases In AP Reach 40: 17 In Just 12 Hrs

With new 17 Coronavirus cases in just last 12 hours, the total cases in Andhra Pradesh reached 40. AP Medical and Health Department released a bulletin on Tuesday announcing the total positive cases in the state so far.

Prakasam district registered highest number of cases with 11, wherein Chirala registered 5 cases. A total of 164 people were tested on Monday night, wherein 17 were tested positive and the remaining 147 were tested negative.

Guntur (9), Vizag (6), Krishna (5), East Godavari (4), Ananthapuram (2), Chittor (1), Kurnool (1) and Nellore registered 1 corona case.

The Andhra Pradesh government has confirmed that at least 369 people from Andhra Pradesh had attended the Nizamuddin event in Delhi.

A surveillance teams in AP had already located and isolated hundreds of persons who came in contact with a Covid-19 positive person who had participated in Delhi prayers.

Hundreds of households in the radius of around 3km from the Corona positive person’s house were seized for complete lockdown and tests were being conducted on all the suspects to shift them to isolation wards.
