Sabita moots 15 marine police stations

Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy on Monday inaugurated a marine police  station at Gilakalapudi near here.

The Home Minister, who was on a whirlwind tour of Machilipatnam and  Pedana constituencies, told newsmen after the inauguration that the Government  was contemplating to set up 15 marine police stations all over the state. Krishna district  itself will have two more marine police  stations, she asserted.

Referring to the safety of women in the state, she observed that the State Government was proposing to frame new  laws to curb atrocities on women. The Minister is expected to travel by Narsapur-Hyderabad  Express in the night.
