This is an occasion for all those Indian hockey lovers to give a strong reply to all those Indian cricket fans who consider Indian hockey as almost a dead horse. Just a day before Holi, Indian flag unfurled flying high colorful with 4-1 win over staunch rival Pakistan inside the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi in first World Cup Hockey match.

It is the first day of World cup and what a match for all those Indians, as Sandeep Singh (2 goals), Prabhjot Singh (1) and Shivendra Singh (1) have made India reach the shores of a much awaited victory to settle the scores with Pakistan. It was a long waited win for India, as it was after 35 years that India won over Pakistan in a World cup match. This is real Holi for Indian hockey.
