3 commit suicide for T cause

Three youths committed suicide in the district in separate incidents in Venkatapur, Shayampet and Zafargadh mandals.

According to police sources, M Bhavani of Laxmidevpet village of Venkatapur mandal, who was a student of BSC I year at Maharshi Degree College, was fighting for Telangana cause. Disgusted by the government's dilatory tactics, she consumed pesticide and died on Monday. In her suicide she wrote the popular phrase Jai Telangana.

In another incident, Sandeep of Mandaripet village of Shayampet mandal doused kerosene on himself before setting himself ablaze on Sunday. Family members joined him in M G M Hospital on Monday. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. His suicide note hoped “My life may open up the eyes of the rulers and form separate Telangana state.”

In the third incident, a tribal youth, Lakavath Suresh Naik committed suicide by consuming pesticide at his farm well on Monday. A native of Regadi thanda of Zafargadh mandal, he had married last year.
