Ramayana Gets Bombay High Court Protection

Ambitious Ramayana has received legal protection ahead of its theatrical release. The Bombay High Court has reportedly granted an anti piracy injunction to prevent the unauthorised recording, uploading and online circulation of the film. The move comes just days before its scheduled November 5 release.

The legal order is aimed at protecting the film from piracy websites, illegal streaming platforms and individuals who attempt to distribute unauthorised copies. Such injunctions help production houses take quicker action against leaked footage and pirated links. The makers are taking precautions to protect the film during its crucial opening days.

Ramayana is among the most ambitious and expensive Indian film projects, with a huge budget and extensive visual effects work. The makers have invested heavily in its production, technology and international presentation. An early online leak could affect theatrical business, especially when audiences are expected to experience the film on the big screen.

The film has also generated strong box office interest, with reports claiming that worldwide opening day advance bookings have crossed ₹50 crore. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi appears as Sita and Yash takes on the role of Ravana. Produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5 in multiple languages.
