The controversial GO passed by Andhra Pradesh government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy slashing the ticket rates in theatres left all shellshocked. Though many Tollywood celebrities tried to impress upon and convince the Ap government about the losses faced by the industry due to it, Ap government did not give in to these requests.
Theatre owners, exhibitors and distributors in Andhra Pradesh have been suffering huge losses. In the midst of all this, few exhibitors Approached Ap High Court against the controversial GO and Ap High Court ruled in their favour agreeing with their argument that Ap government has no right to decide upon the ticket prices.
However, Ap government decided to file a counter against the High Court's single judge ruling. Now it is coming out that a YSRCP Minister who is not related to Tollywood and who is not handling the cinematogrAphy ministry in the government is threatening and blackmaling the Tollywood producers. Buzz is he is planning to blackmail Tollywood producers into crores of money promising to facilitate increase in ticket prices.Sources say he set a target of Rs 20crs and already made few threatening calls to the producers.
