MAA Elections completed: Silence before thunderstorm

The elections for Movie Artists Association (MAA) were completed couple of minutes back. The environment at the polling booth, Jubilee Hills Public School remained tensed with both Manchu Vishnu and PrakashRaj panel members leaving no stone unturned to win each and every vote. This resulted in verbal and physical fights from both parties.

The polling which started at 8AM today morning was supposed to end by 2 PM. However, with a record number of members coming to cast their votes, the presiding officers decided to extend the polling by one more hour. By 2 PM over 490 members cast their votes and there are another 150 members waiting in the queue. Inside talk is around 50-60 members cast their votes through postal ballots.

This is a record as in the last elections, only 474 members cast their votes. Now all eyes are on the results which are expected to be out by 8PM tonight.
