Sarileru Record TRP, Thanks To Corona!

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru that had world Television premiere in Gemini TV on March 25th for Telugu New Year, that is for Ugadi and registered highest TRP of 23.4 after BARC entry in 2016. The previous best was Baahubali that clocked 22.7 TV rating wherein Mahesh Babu’s previous best Srimanthudu (22.54) is now thrown to third place.

While Coronavirus outbreak is showing adverse effect on films, this indeed has helped Sarileru Neekevvaru garnering record TRP. Given it is a holiday and lockdown was imposed, Telugu viewers preferred to watch the Anil Ravipudi directorial. Interestingly, the film made entry into Amazon Prime Video long ago.

Rashmika Mandanna played lead actress in the film that also featured Vijayashanti in a key roles. Dil Raju in association with Anil Sunkara produced the film that ended as fifth highest grosser in Tollywood.
