Amid mushrooming rumours of possible extension of 21-day Lockdown, the cabinet secretary of union government Rajiv Gauba quashed the speculations confirming that they were just' baseless' rumours and the government had no plans to extend the Lockdown's period.
“There are rumours & media reports, claiming that the Government will extend the #Lockdown21 when it expires. The Cabinet Secretary has denied these reports, and stated that they are baseless," Press Information Bureau tweeted.
But then, hardly was the statement was trusted by the people. They still are dubious the PM Modi, at the stroke of 8 pm on 13th of April, would through another bomb on Indians pronouncing the extension of lockout.
For time being, let's take the cabinet secretary's assurance to hearts. If the lcokdown is really confined upto April 14, entire nation would heave a sigh of relief.
