Padmaavat gets Islam shock

Deepika Padukone, Ranvir Singh, Shahid Kapoor's Padmaavat directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been courting controversies ever since its announcement. The film after much opposition released last week amidst violent protests in the country. 

Protesters have been demanding a ban on the film for hurting the sentiments of the Rajputs. In the meantime the film released smoothly in Pakistan which is a islamic nation. However Padmaavat got a shock when Malaysia banned the film for hurting the sensitivities of Islam.

Mohd Zamberi Abdul Aziz, the chairman of National film Censorship Board (LPF), Malaysia said that the film was not cleared for screening in the country as it might offend the muslims in the country. 

He said the storyline touches on the sensitivities of Islam and that itself is a matteer of grave concern in a Muslim majority country like Malaysia.
