Why Does Trivikram Keep Facing Copy Allegations?

Trivikram Srinivas is widely celebrated for his dialogues, family emotions and entertaining storytelling. However, there is another discussion that keeps following the filmmaker. Several of his films have faced allegations of borrowing scenes, sequences or story ideas from foreign films. With Aadarsha Kutumbam, the debate has resurfaced once again.
The latest film has drawn comparisons with the 2021 Hollywood action thriller Nobody, starring Bob Odenkirk. A review of the film also pointed out that Trivikram has drawn some elements from the Hollywood thriller.
This is not the first time the director has faced such criticism. Agnyaathavaasi landed in a major controversy over its alleged similarities with the French film Largo Winch. Aravinda Sametha faced comparisons with Luc Besson's The Family over a crucial sequence. Even Athadu has recently returned to discussion after netizens pointed out similarities between its train-escape sequence and a scene from US Marshals.
Inspiration from world cinema is not unusual, but repeated comparisons raise questions about originality, especially from a filmmaker celebrated for his writing.
Trivikram has built a reputation as a strong writer, but these recurring allegations continue to challenge that image. Is he adapting world cinema to Telugu sensibilities, or is he relying too heavily on familiar ideas?
