Ram Charan is producing the film in a prestigious manner as it happens to be the first film on India's first freedom fighter against the british rule. But Nekkanti Srinivasa Rao is demanding apology from Chiranjeevi and the filmmakers asking how can Chiranjeevi make a film on robber Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy showing him as a freedom fighter.

Nekkanti Srinivasa Rao says Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy resorted to robberies, plundered the rich after the British government refused to grant him the allowance of Rs 11 per month which he was supposed to inherit from his grand father.

Many say just because Narasimha Reddy revolted against the British on this pretext, his valor cannot be belittled. He revolted against the British in June 1846 and was brutally hanged to death in Feb 1847 much before the First War of Independence in 1987.

Narasimha Reddy was one of the 80 landlords and the British government seized their rights after Nizam ceded the Rayalaseema region to the British. The British introduced Rs 11 monthly allowance as compensation even which it refused to pay.
