GST Raids on Producers: Much Ado About Nothing

There had been a huge fuss over IT raids on the offices of top Producers yesterday. Reports say Dil Raju's  Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), Suresh Babu's Suresh Productions, Radhakrishna's Haarika & Hassine Creations, Sharrat Marar's Northstar Entertainment, C Kalyan's CK Entertainments, DVV Danayya's DVV Entertainments, V Anand Prasad's Bhavya Creations and a few other offices of Producers were inspected by IT officials yesterday.

Many speculations were flying thick and fast ever since the news of IT raids in Producers offices was out but finally it was much ado about nothing. Apparently, the inspection was not intended to check Income Tax records but was it to check GST and TDS records. Also, it is said to be a common practice of IT officials checking Producers' offices. 

Meanwhile, people are advising IT officials to give prime importance to conduct raids on politicians houses and offices in spite of troubling filmmakers. "They will surely reach their targets if the houses of MPs, MLAs and other politicians are raided," says a citizen of India.
