SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' has been keeping cash registers ringing ever since it was released. There are no doubts to anybody on the success of this movie. However, this is about the movie's satellite rights we are talking about, as per an English daily's report.
Some time ago we heard the reports that there was a huge demand for the satellite rights of the movie. But in reality, no TV channel shows interest in acquiring the movie's rights. According to a source, MAA TV had offered Rs.12 crores, but when the makers asked for Rs.14 crores, the channel backed out. It was felt felt that the movie would not suit for TV which is why no channel has shown interest to buy the rights.
A media baron, who invested Rs.70 crores on the projet, has refused to buy the satellite rights. The producers were to return Rs.26 crores to this media baron and they asked to take the film's satellite rights in lieu of half of the amount but he is not showing any interest.
