Inner sources murmur that relations between hero Nagarjuna and producer R. Venkat were strained long ago after the release of 'Dhada.' This was a disaster movie produced by Shivaprasad Reddy but was distributed by RR Movies buying the rights at a bomb of price. Obviously, the rate was excessive and movie also was a total failure. From then on, R. Venkat was heard to be upset over Nag's decision for making them distribute 'Dhada.'

As per the past agreements, R. Venkat has continued with 'Damarukam' starring Nagarjuna and 'Auto Nagar Surya' of Naga Chaitanya. Like the first one, even second project is also getting continuously postponed. With 'Damarukam' in financial doldrums, Chaitu would be having a big question mark in his mind on what could be the final fate of 'ANS.'
