A distributor says that the film collected around Rs 4.5crs share in Telugu states on the opening day and it is a good start for a Hindi film. He said however the response from the Telugu viewers is mixed so far. He said Yash stole the show as Ravana with his terrific screen presence and performance while Ranbir is also good in the role of Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi came up with good performance with her grace and subtleness as Sita but added that the viewers expected more powerful and emotional performance from her.
He pointed out that the visual effects and captured the imagination of all and it is giving extraordinary experience with larger than life sets on the screen.
