Vijay Back In Front Of Camera In Gautham Menon Direction

Thalapathy Vijay may soon face the camera again, but not for a regular movie. After announcing his decision to stay away from films with Jana Nayagan as his swansong and focus completely on politics, reports suggest that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister could appear in a special government advertisement. The project is expected to be different from ordinary promotional videos.
Vijay had indicated that Jana Nayagan would be his final film before entering full time politics. However, officials are reportedly considering using his popularity to promote government schemes and public welfare programmes. Instead of appointing another film star as a brand ambassador, the government may feature Vijay himself in the campaign.
Interestingly, filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon is reportedly being considered to direct this special advertisement. The project is expected to have a strong technical team, cinematic visuals and a bigger production budget than regular government advertisements. If the reports turn out to be true, it will also mark a special collaboration between Vijay and Gautham Menon.
Vijay is reportedly ready to allot two days for the shoot, considering his busy schedule as Chief Minister. The production is likely to be planned after the by elections in five Tamil Nadu constituencies. However, the exact shooting dates and the advertisement's concept are yet to be officially confirmed. This should not be treated as Vijay's return to films, but fans will certainly be happy to see him in front of the camera again.
