Salaar moving to December 22nd has not only troubled several movies, but also distributors of those films. Especially, Venkatesh's prestigious film, his 75th Saindhav is now releasing for Sankranthi. The film is now releasing on 13th January. Nani's film Hi Nanna is said to be moved to the first week of December.
Now, coming to the main point. Dil Raju who is known for his judgement and forecasting business has bought distribution rights of Superstar Mahesh Babu, Trivikram's Guntur Kaaram for Rs 45 Crores. It is known that there is some friction between Dil Raju and Sithara Banner Naga Vamsi. But, due to the good equations shared by Dil Raju with SS Radhakrishna, uncle of Naga Vamsi, he managed to bag the rights of Guntur Kaaram.
Until Salaar fixed for December 22nd release. Guntur Kaaram is the solo big film for Sankranthi. Knowing this Dil Raju shelled 45 Crores even though Trivikram's previous Blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramulo collected Rs 43 Crores. He also planned to release his ongoing film, 'Family Star' with Vijay Deverakonda for Sankranthi to share major theatres between his two films Guntur Kaaram and Family Star.
But, now with the entry of Saindhav things turn tough for him. As Suresh Babu is also a key player and partner in Asian Films which acquired Saindhav Nizam rights. It would be now tough for Dil Raju to acquire big no of theatres. Also other films like Hanuman, Ravi Teja's Eagle and Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga are also arriving for Pongal. With this bottle neck competition, can Dil Raju get back his investment of 45 Crores from Guntur Kaaram or will he go for renegotiation.
