Shah Rukh Khan Confesses To Buying Awards

Shah Rukh Khan confesses to buying awards. There have been always accusations of celebrities influencing the awards committee to get awards for them. Whenever prestigious awards are announced, accusations and rumors spread from various quarters that the awards committee was influenced and that was the reason only a few celebrities often get awards and some really worthy performances and films do not get recognition.

The same thing is now happening after the National Awards were announced a couple of days back. In the midst of all this, some time back Shah Rukh Khan, and Bollywood Badshah confessed to buying awards. An old video of Vidya Balan asking Shah Rukh Khan in IIFA 2013 is going viral.

Shah Rukh Khan asked Vidya Balan, "How many awards do you have?" To this, Vidya answered that she had 47, with a laugh. Shahid Kapoor, who was hosting the show asked Shah Rukh, how many he had. Shah Rukh said “I don't count my awards. I have 155 awards.”

Vidya Balan shocked him saying “How many of those were purchased?”  Shah Rukh replied saying , “A little bit, 150.”
