Chief Minister K Rosaiah plans to visit Delhi in the first week of April after the Budget session of the State Assembly.
Disclosing this to the press, Rosaiah said, ``I will be meeting party president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to appraise them of the latest situation in the state.’’
``The issue of granting national status to Polavaram project will also be discussed during my visit to Delhi, ‘’the CM added.
During his visit to Delhi, the CM is expected to discuss with the Central leadership the pending projects in the State and try to get a clearance from the Centre. According to sources close to the Chief Minister, Rosaiah will also take up the issue of expanding the State Cabinet and reshuffling of his ministry for the smooth functioning of the administration.
Referring to the attack on a TV channel on Monday , Rosiah said ``the Government will take action against those attacking the media. The Government is committed to providing safety and security to the media.’’
``At the same time the media should also feel its responsibility of delivering credible news to the people without any bias,’’ the CM noted.
