TDP, TRS trade charges over Indira Park scuffle

A Telugu Desam Party office was attacked by irate Telangana supporters in Nizamabad following the scuffle between pro-Telangana lawyers and Tdp activists in which some lawyers suffered minor injuries at Indira Park on Saturday.

In Hyderabad leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Students Joint Action Committee condemned the incident. They demanded that Tdp president N Chandrababu Naidu apologise over the incident.

Mr Naidu refused to apologise for his partymen attacking the lawyers and also accused the TRS party leaders of instigating the incident.

He said that the lawyers were sent by the TRS leaders and said he would have apologized if the lawyers had tried to disrupt the Tdp dharna on their own.

Mr Naidu questioned the about their concern over the plight of the common man. He asked, "Don’t you feel bothered about the rise in prices of essential commodities? Are you not worried about the common man?”

TRS leaders denied the charges that the lawyers reached Indira Park under their instructions. The TRS leaders also reminded how the Heritage super markets are sell various products at high prices.
