Assembly Special Secretary suspended

The state government on Wednesday issued suspension orders against Assembly Special Secretary K Gopalakrishna, who caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for amassing wealth to the tune of Rs 15 crore illegally. 

The government issued suspension orders against Gopalakrishna after consulting Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy and Legislative Council Chairman K Chakrapani. 

The ACB conducted raids on Gopalakrishna's residence here and other premises in Nellore and Chittoor districts and unearthed assets worth Rs 15 crore on Feb 10. 

The government issued the suspension orders against Gopalakrishna to facilitate ACB to probe the source of money the accused had earned by just being the special secretary.
