Governor asks officials to focus on revenue collections

Governor ESL Narasimhan has instructed the officials to concentrate on the revenue collections and all arrears due for the government and collect revenue on time.

Earlier, Principal Secretary (Finance Department) Ajay Kellam gave a presentation on the State budget, the receipts and expenditure for 2013-14.

The Governor exhorted on the revenue earnings and asked the Commercial Taxes and other revenue earning Departments to step up their activities and ensure good results. He also agreed to exempt some of the important officials working in the revenue earning department from the ensuing election duty.

Chief Secretary Dr PK Mohanty, Senior Officials SP Singh, Premchandra Reddy, Vijay Kumar, Anantaramu and others attended the review meeting.
