Lack of vision is reason for power crisis: Sharmila

Ysr Congress leader Sharmila has said that the state is facing power crisis simply because of the negligence of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. 

Speaking to a group of women during at an impromptu interaction at Chinna Kadaburu in Kurnool district as part of her "Maro Praja Prasthanam" padayatra on the 29th day on Thursday, Sharmila said the present Congress Government has lacked the sort of vision displayed by YSR in anticipating problems. “There were no power problems when YSR was there,” she said, adding that people are being burdened with new taxes and additional power bills now. 

Asking people to wait patiently for the return of Rajanna Rajyam, Sharmila said 20 lakh pucca houses were built during YSR regime in AP alone while 45 lakh houses were built in the entire India. “When it comes to power, Ysr Congress will ensure that pucca houses are built for the shelter less,” she assured them. 

Women complained to Sharmila they are not regularly getting monthly pensions and are being forced to pay interest though the loans are meant to be interest-free. “Wait for the good days of Rajanna Rajyam wherein you will be able to solve your problems,” she told them, adding the present government has no helping nature. 

She also assured the women that YSRCP, after assuming power under the leadership of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, would also implement the ‘Amma Odi’ scheme for enabling children go to school. “Under the programme, two kids can pursue their education and money will be directly deposited in the bank accounts of mothers,” Sharmila told them.
