Telangana people will never Naidu: TRS

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Monday said that the people in the Telangana region would never believe the words of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Talking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan, Srinivas Reddy said that Naidu's "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra was aimed at vote politics and it had nothing to do with the people's welfare. He said that the TDP president wants to come to power in the State at any cost. Therefore, he has been making several promises to the people. However, he said people in the Telangana region would never believe Naidu.

Stating that the TRS never had faith either in the TDP or Chandrababu Naidu, he said that the TDP chief was never clear about the statehood issue. He demanded that Naidu raise the slogan of "Jai Telangana" at least once during his padayatra, if he was not opposed to the statehood demand.

The TRS leader also slammed the Congress party while accusing the same for cheating the people of Telangana region.

Kamareddy MLA Gampa Goverdhan and other leaders were also present during the press conference.
