Pradesh Congress President Botsa Satyanarayana on Monday claimed that there was no threat to the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government due to the withdrawal of support by the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.
Talking to reporters here, Botsa expressed confidence that the government would continue its full term till 2014. However, he said that talks would be held with the MIM leaders to resolve the differences and misunderstandings. He also claimed that the government did not favour anyone on the issue of Bhagyalakshmi Temple abutting Charminar.
Earlier, he participated in a meeting convened by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office at Begumpet to discuss the possible impact of MIM's decision. Senior leaders and ministers including Danam Nagender, Mukesh Goud, Mohammad Ali Shabbir, Kasu Krishna Reddy, P Vishwarupa and Thota Narasimam also attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, senior congress leaders Gade Venkat Reddy, JC Diwakar Reddy and others have expressed confidence that the Congress Government will last till 2014. Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath said that the State Government has implemented the High Court orders and the allegations being leveled by the MIM were baseless.
